Travis Kelce is en route to a reunion with girlfriend Taylor Swift after wrapping up his Super Bowl celebrations. The popstar had hit the road again to take her Eras Tour to Australia, preforming in Melbourne last week, just days after cheering on her NFL beau at the Super Bowl but Kelce had stayed behind in Kansas City for the Chiefs’ celebrations.
But on Wednesday morning, the three-time Super Bowl winner was aboard a private jet destined for Sydney, where the songstress will continue her sold-out show this week, according to TMZ.
The tight end had returned to Las Vegas – the site of the Chiefs’ third Super Bowl victory in five years – Tuesday, just over a week since hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at Allegiant Stadium.
But, after reportedly grabbing a quick dinner at Nobu Malibu in Los Angeles Tuesday night, he is said to have hopped on a flight from the West Coast to Hawaii at around 9pm PT.
The NFL star is currently on the second stint of his travels Down Under with his flight path believed to be following a similar one to Swift’s when she left Vegas for Melbourne.
He appears to have taken off from Van Nuys Airport last night, stopped in Honolulu to refuel before carrying on to Sydney, where the jet is expected to land at around 8.30am local time on Thursday. Kelce’s journey comes after his dad, Ed, had hinted his son could be making the trip to see his talented girlfriend perform.
‘Well, look, we spoke after the Super Bowl , and I asked him, are you going to take off for Sydney, and he seemed keen,’ Ed told the Sydney Morning Herald. ‘He said he’d really like to see Sydney and Singapore , but he wasn’t sure because he has commitments. He is at a celebrity charity golf outing today, which, I think, is in Las Vegas.’
Travis had been in Sin City to hit the golf course at the Wynn Golf & Country Club with his Instagram handle and their location tagged. Kelce and friends also had a meal at a restaurant called Toca Madera. DJ Adam Daudier, who played at the venue during Kelce’s visit.
Travis and Taylor have juggled their schedules to squeeze in time together with the singer attending 13 of his games this NFL season, including making a mad dash back from Tokyo to Vegas to make it to the Super Bowl.
Meanwhile, Travis took advantage of the Chiefs bye week in November to play the role of doting boyfriend and watch Taylor perform to thousands of adoring fans in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
