Taylor Swift’s father’s adorable act of kindness to fans at her sold-out gigs

Taylor Swift’s doting parents are closely involved with her global Eras Tour and have accompanied her to Australia to help out behind the scenes. And on Friday, Swift’s father Scott, 71, showed his support by handing out sandwiches and fruit to Swifties at Accor Stadium during the opening night of her Sydney shows.

In a video shared to TikTok by a concertgoer, Scott can be seen at the back of the venue giving out snacks to hungry fans during a break in the show. Scott looked every inch the doting dad as he held a platter of food the adorable clip. Many fans quickly took to the comment section to gush over Taylor’s supportive father.

‘Papa Swift, you’re awesome,’ one fan wrote and a second person added: ‘Best dad in the world’. Swift’s parents Scott and Andrea frequently accompany her on tour around the world. On the first night of her tour Down Under in Melbourne last week, her father Scott was seen handing out VIP wristbands to lucky fans.

But his involvement doesn’t stop there as Scott and Andrea have long been closely involved with Taylor’s tours, and helped her rise to global superstar status.

Marketing manager Andrea and stockbroker Scott tied the knot back in 1988 before welcoming their daughter Taylor the following year in 1989. Her doting parents became aware of her passion for music from a very young age and the family relocated to Nashville when Taylor was 14 years old to help her pursue her dreams of becoming a singer.

As well as helping to guide her into music, Taylor’s parents have gone on to become a key part in her marketing strategy and play a huge role in her massive global tours. In 2009, Taylor told how her father Scott is a ‘social butterfly’ who ‘loves being on tour’ as she proved how close knit the family are.

Andrea and Scott – who reportedly quietly split in 2011 – have been known to hand out Taylor Swift branded guitar picks and bracelets at their daughter’s concerts. Taylor has performed the first two of her four sold out Sydney shows and will next take the stage at Accor Stadium on Sunday evening, followed by her final Australian concert on Monday.
