Travis Kelce may be getting his groove on at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this month — if his schedule allows for it. The 34-year-old NFL star is known for his enthusiastic dance moves on the football field and beyond, and Kelce tells PEOPLE he’s potentially planning a trip out to Indio for the annual music festival.
“I am a Coachella guy,” says Kelce. “I love going to Coachella. I love live music in general. So you might see me pop up over there at some point.” The popular music festival takes place in the Coachella Valley, roughly two and a half hours outside of Los Angeles.
The three-day event runs for two weekends, beginning April 12 and concluding on April 21. But with the NFL season not too far away, and a handful of additional responsibilities around his other endeavors, Kelce says, “I’m not sure if I’ll go to a weekend, one or two, or if I even have time knowing my schedule’s filling up pretty quick before we get started back up for football here.”
This year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival includes headlining performances from Tyler, the Creator, Lana Del Rey and Doja Cat. Sabrina Carpenter, who opened multiple dates on the Eras Tour for Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, will perform.
Carpenter, 24, and Swift, 34, became close friends since the tour kicked off, and the “Nonsense” singer even came with Swift to watch Kelce and the Chiefs last season. Del Rey, meanwhile, was sitting with Swift at the Super Bowl when Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in February.
Swift’s close friend and producer Jack Antonoff will also perform with his band, Bleachers. While Kelce may not make it to Coachella, he’ll definitely be at his second annual Kelce Jam, presented by Jim Beam, in Kansas City on May 18.
The one-night music festival will feature performances from Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2 Chainz, who Kelce tells PEOPLE are “three of my favorite” artists, and an assortment of local Kansas City restaurant options.
Fans can register for tickets now at KelceJam.com ahead of Friday’s pre-sale. “It’s just going to be an amazing opportunity to get out in front of Kansas City and just celebrate the Super Bowl win one more time,” he says.
